Families wishing to enrol their child(ren) may complete a Registration of Interest form. Priority will be given to siblings of existing children currently enrolled in our school and to families living within our school zone. Proof of residency is required. An early indication of intention to enrol assists with our planning.
Children living outside of the school zone can only be enrolled if there are spaces available in the child's year level at the time they are to commence school. The Registration of Interest to enrol will be held on file and families are responsible for checking progress of their child's Registration of Interest regularly.

The DECD Same First Day policy comes into effect in all schools in 2014. Where a child turns five on or before 30th April, they will start school on the first day of Term One of that year. Where a child turns five on or after May 1st they will start school on the first day of Term One the following year.
The minimum age for starting school will be four years and eight months from 2014.
See the Same First Day Factsheet for more information.
Prior to commencing school, students are invited to visit. Correspondence is sent to families advising details of these transition visits and what they are required to bring. Children are assisted to get to know the School layout, their new classroom and classmates, and are involved in a range of activities and programmes which make up the School day. We have noted that most children who visit wear our school uniform, so you may wish to buy uniform items from the school beforehand.
An opportunity for parents to tour the school, meet with the Principal, and discuss school programmes is organised once per term. Parents who are considering enrolling their child (either to begin school, or to transfer in from another school) are welcome to attend a School Open Morning. The Open Morning consists of a 45min presentation by the school leadership team, followed by a school tour conducted by student ambassadors. Children are not required to attend.
2017 School Open Mornings are:
Sessions commence at 9:30am.
Please contact the school via email if you wish to attend.
Transferring from other schools
Many students transfer to East Adelaide from within South Australia, from interstate, and from overseas. A number of students attend East Adelaide while families are undertaking work placements or study in Adelaide. We encourage parents to provide information from the previous school, including samples of student work so that we can make appropriate placements and maintain continuity of the learning programme to the best of our ability.
